BIO


Theia makes trailblazing alternative music with ethereal folk; indigenous soul and art rock influences. She is known for her fearless and formidable anthems, which challenge social injustices.


The enigmatic Māori artist, who was born in Aotearoa, New Zealand, has been making waves since she first emerged in 2016. She has gone on to earn critical acclaim from the likes of Rolling Stone, Billboard Magazine, Clash, Triple J and Pigeons & Planes. She is also a three-time nominee at the New Zealand Music Awards and has been a finalist in the Waiata Māori Music Awards.


Theia has toured  across Australasia and has played at many of the southern hemisphere's largest festivals, including WOMAD, Splore, CubaDupa and Sydney Mardi Gras. She has also opened for  Peaches, Sia, Charli XCX and Mika. 


Now based in Los Angeles, Theia has spent the last two summers performing across the USA and Canada, including Belltown Bloom (Seattle), Sum Of Us (California), Toronto Pride, SubCulture (LA), Babes on Babes (Vancouver), She Fest (San Diego), San Diego Pride, Miami Beach Pride, Women’s Freedom Festival (LA).
